Specialty Club June 2003
2001 Domaine La Moussiere Generation XIX
Sancerre Rouge
I´ve been trying to get this wine into the Northwest market now
for about three years, and I´ve finally succeeded. All of
two cases worth came to Seattle, and we got both of ´em.
It´s a Pinot Noir, it´s spectacular, it´ll cellar
for up to five years, and it´s good. It´s $62.00
2001 Edmond Vatan Clos La Neore Sancerre
Blanc
From one extreme to the other! This is very much an old-style
Sancerre blanc: 100% Sauvignon Blanc, with an earthy aroma and
tremendous fruit. These are two of my favorite wines from a
favorite region. It´s $26.25, and about five cases came to
Seattle. Thank our old friend Matt Mabus for finding this one
for us...
