2001 Aubert Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay
Let´s see: This wine is listed as collectable (only 702 cases made); highly
rated (95 points, wine of the week in the Wine Spectator); has an amazing track
record, as Mark Aubert was winemaker for Newton, Peter Michael, and still is for
Colgin! Do I really need to say just how excited I was to get this wine for
this club? I have miniscule amounts left at $55.00.
2001 Cayuse Cailloux Vineyard Syrah
Y´know, I could pretty much duplicate the notes above, make a few alterations,
and leave it sit. So I´ll do that…give this some time in the cellar,
please - Christophe Baron´s wines take a bit of time to grow up.
We have a limited amount of Cayuse wines available at $45.00 each. First
preference will be given to the members of the Specialty and Washington clubs.
Sorry for doling these out in tiny quantities, but we´d like to be fair to all!
