2004 Seghesio Home Ranch Zinfandel
This is always a yummy, rich zin that is getting increasingly hard to obtain. I really
like a lot of wine from the Alexander Valley; there´s a delicacy there that I don´t often
see. This one´s $36.00, and we have a tiny bit left. It´s ready to go.
2004 Henri Bourgeois La Cote des Monts Damnes Sancerre
Occasionally it seems as if certain producers live in these clubs, doesn´t it? M.
Bourgeois does indeed make outstanding wine on a frequent level. When I tried this
one, I was stunned at the delicacy. It needs a bit of time to unwind; about a
year. This is a beautiful, balanced Sancerre that shows the terroir of the Monts
Damnes hillside extraordinarily well. There is a bit more of this available at $27.00.
